About M.M. Gavillet

My name is M.M. Gavillet and I'm an independent author of young adult urban fantasy novels. I'm a lover of antiques because of the stories they could tell, avid collector of old gaudy jewelry and consumer of frozen yogurt. I'm a child at heart and still find enchantment even in the most mundane things. Writing is my outlet and sometimes I wish I could escape to the worlds I build. I can watch movies over and over just as much a reading a good novel over and over.

Interesting continuance to the Blackbirds series. I would have liked for it to have slowed down some and been more descriptive. There are a lot of new characters and places and with so much action going on it was hard to follow at some points because it moved so quickly. But the story line and different worlds are really creative and I absolutely love the different characters. Especially some of the newest ones introduced in this book, I really hope to learn more about them in the next one. Add to that the surprise at the open ending and it makes for a quick and entertaining read. I look forward to seeing how it will all come together in the last book and in my opinion Band of Blackbirds is worth a read.
