Rik Hunik was born in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, in 1957, and has lived his entire life in BC, except for a few summers in Alberta, and a few days in Washington State climbing rocks. He has lived in Ymir, Wells, Quesnel, Prince George, Quesnel, North Vancouver, Quesnel, Burnaby, North Delta, and Quesnel. I live with my wife Jo and a blue-eyed, white cat named Mister. Forty have been published in small press magazines and e-zines, from the 200-word "The Hole" in Ascent Aspirations, to the 10,000-word novelette "Levels" in Buzzy Mag, published in May, 2012. Some of them are available now as ebooks at Smashwords.

I liked this. I'm not a great fan of poetry, but this - about a werewolf kill - is easy-going, no pretention, simple rhythm, and it conjures up - with few words - a reasonable atmosphere of the stalking wolf. Good show.

Rik Hunik seems to have some interesting stories at smashwords, and mostly free; this is to be applauded; lots of authors, who have tasted less success than Rik Hunik, have simply seen the e-publishing route as dollar signs, without bothering to hone their writing. I intend to read more of Hunik's work; his list of tales certainly invokes imagination.

Short poem of a werewolf on a hunt. Bloody, gruesome and enjoyable.

I'll have to check out a bit more of this authors work (by the looks of it he has got quite a few stories on here without any reviews as of yet) as he seems to deal with some of the genre's I myself write about.
