Dave Schwensen has been an entertainment journalist since 1993 with articles published in the United States, Canada and Japan. His reviews, interviews, and behind the scenes exclusives have included entertainers such as Paul McCartney, Bill Cosby, Britney Spears, Ray Romano, Garth Brooks and many others.
In describing his extensive experience in the comedy industry, Dave likes to point out that his career has taken him from "coast to coast to coast." He is the only person on the face of the earth to have been talent coordinator and manager for New York's Original Improvisation (East Coast), talent coordinator for the Hollywood Improv and the television show "A&E's An Evening At The Improv" (West Coast), and manager of The Cleveland Improv Comedy Club (North Coast). While in Hollywood he was also the assistant to Improv founder Budd Friedman and worked as a talent advisor for many Los Angeles and New York based comedy programs, television networks and film studios.
Dave is a nationally recognized comedy coach with workshops, comedy business seminars and private coaching. He is a humorous keynote speaker / trainer, an award winning humor columnist,and pop culture historian and lecturer. He is a 2012 Pinnacle Award winner for designing and instructing educational video conferences in pop culture and communication skills.
As a coach, consultant and trainer, Dave has been featured on PBS Television and Radio, The Hollywood Reporter, Chicago Tribune, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Back Stage: The Performing Arts Weekly, Insidebiz.com Magazine, U.S. News and Report, and others.
