About Michael Carmel

I was born in 1969 and grew up in the small community of Sherwood Park outside the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I moved to Vancouver Island in 1992, where I still reside, and hope to remain.

I am a computer technician, and apart from minor distractions I have been so my whole working life.

In 1993 I convinced a girl named Fluff to marry me, and am still married to this day. I have one daughter, Lint, who was born in 2000.

Review by: Jim Engles on Nov. 18, 2013 :
I had been on the fence about buying this book for some time, but my search for new and exciting kept turning it up. I purchased it on my kindle a couple of weeks ago but lost my kindle :( So I have just re-purchased it for my Mac.

Michael Carmel writes differently than many authors, and is new I think to writing, though I could be wrong. His shortcomings were few and easily over looked, and it turned out that his style was something I enjoyed.

The epic adventure of Cullen Aven, Sharael Maldeen and DagGar appears to have just begun. The story is a high paced and vividly painted roller coaster ride of fun and excitement with humour spattered all about.

I truly enjoyed Michael's take on fantasy creatures that make this genre so exciting and am starting to get a grip on his world. One of his characters is a loveable creature named DagGar whom I love and can't wait to read about in book 2. I will be downloading it today!
