L Frank Turovich (1956- ) was born and raised in Flint, Michigan to parents of Polish and Netherlands descent. He became a rabid reader of science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, comics and devoted his free time to drawing. After graduation he spent 12 years in the United States Marine Corps.
A fascination with computing led to him to purchase an original Macintosh 128K in April 1984. He used it to learn programming and used that knowledge to write articles for Nibble Mac and Inside BASIC magazines and eventually two books on programming. After leaving the USMC he worked as a technical writer, manager, and consultant for several bleeding edge technology companies including Metrowerks, Motorola, Freescale Semiconductor, Nokia, and Silicon Laboratories where he concentrated on documenting software development tools and other related technologies.
He currently resides in Austin, Texas in a home filled with books, computers, and two cats (Java and Misty) working on short stories and novels in multiple genres.
