About Graeme Schultz

I have always been a Believer – as long as I can remember God has been relevant to me. I’m 58 years old, that is a lot of time spent in the Christian belief system – but it’s only in the last 5 years that I have discovered the joy of believing.

This discovery was brought about by the global financial crisis in 2008. As a property developer in South-west Victoria, Australia I was doing well, my assets had grown, I was successful and I was a Christian.

The GFC bit hard, I was up against the wall – I lost it all.

My friends assured me that God would bring me through, that He would provide a way at the eleventh hour, it didn’t happen – my life’s work went down the gurgler.

Yet I had lived my entire life as an active Christian, fully engaged in church leadership, preaching, worship leading – you name it. When push came to shove, my faith didn’t have the substance to resolve the problem let alone sustain me personally.
I was saved already (no doubt about that), but I had not yet discovered that Christ could be trusted – with everything.

I was what the church would call a mature, functioning Christian for my entire adult life, but it wasn’t until the GFC struck that I discovered how to rest in His astounding work on the cross. It has changed me forever, I am ruined by the magnificence of that event, the astounding accomplishments of the cross are mine – I am in Him and He is in me – ‘we are hardwired together’.

It’s a needy time in history; uncertainty in finances, marriage and faith are everywhere – there is an answer – it’s closer than many realize – it’s found in the personal discovery of “Christ and Him crucified” – the pearl of great price.

As a much jaded and wary former church-goer, I found Graeme Shultz's blog and book. He has bypassed religion, culture and cliche to encourage his readers to focus on Christ and a huge view of what was accomplished at the cross. A bigger view than I have heard before and that has paved the way back from suspicion to faith - in a Person not a doctrine.

This is the book that the Christian community has been waiting for, at last someone is writing about Christ and Him crucified instead of religion. Well done Graeme, 'Christ in me' gotta love that.

A simple talk with a simple Christian that gives little thought to the questions we face as to the true character of God. An inadequate and immature defense to the cliché "Christian Faith".
