About Christine Leov-Lealand

I have been a writer all my life and quite possibly in several other lifetimes as well. Books for me are like McDonald's double cheese burgers and Black Forest gateau. If books were food I have gorged myself on them until I am a human version of War and Peace.
Although I was commissioned by Penguin to write erotica I am a lot more diverse in my reading and writing. My interests range from Homer and Plato, to palaeontology; Terry Prachett and beyond the stars with Frank Herbert and Dune; Whatever the book genera, I have read it and dreamed of writing about it.
At an age between sense and senility I have rediscovered the joy of writing, after years of being a best-selling author AND rejected by publishing houses.
My fervent hope is that many readers will come with me for the ride, and enjoy the gallop.
Published works on Amazon: Quintessence, Astride and Avocado, a trio of erotic novels, set in New Zealand. Two versions are available – Illustrated and without illustrations.
Works in progress, Atlantea Soulmates - a steam punk historial adventure romance set in ancient Crete and Atlantis. First in the Soulmates series – co-written with AJ Burton; Norf – a chick-lit novel following Catherine and Moira as they travel around the world; Mistress Seeks – a kinky erotic novel – Mistress M seeks the perfect slaves; BI – a personal exporation of the joys and perils of bisexuality; The King of D'Urville Island – a three generation memoir of my father's family, the Leov family; Gallica Roma a historial adventure romance set in Roman times. Second in the Soulmates series.

Review by: Ernest Winchester on Dec. 29, 2012 :
Strange this. Well several strange things really. The story? Yes, but I’ll get to that in a second. The first strange thing is, I downloaded the book over a year and a half ago and promptly forgot about it, along with scores of other stories and books that I intend to read and forget about. Strange that Smashwords claims that I bought it and now own it, allowing me to post this review. I don’t remember buying it, but I guess I did. Strange that I downloaded it again last month on Kindle because it is no longer available in PDF which was my original download.
Strange that the book has been on Smashwords for two years now and no one has reviewed it.
I say the story is strange because I had trouble reading it with all the ‘foreign words’ that I didn’t know. Likewise I had a problem with Stuart’s finances, broke or nearly broke one minute, yet always with a handy fistful of cash when he needed to fund Uma’s welfare or buy a plane ticket. I find it strange that more editing didn’t go into this—tense swaps, past, then present, rattle me. Also Mike becomes Mark. I got a bit perturbed by some of the plot twists near the end with some things left unanswered, but I can’t say more now. But overall, an interesting read. Learned a little about dreadlocks.
