About Michael D. Riley

After serving as Public Enterprise Group Inc.’s President, Michael D. Riley retired in 2007. He had helped clients from New York to Washington get nearly one hundred million dollars in new revenue. Riley previously worked as a partner and officer for major advertising agencies, serving such clients as Procter & Gamble, Dole Foods, and Coca-Cola Company as a senior marketing planner for their brands. He earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in marketing communications from Northwestern University.

My book, $ave Your City, was made possible by the ground-breaking contract between a Southern California Coca-Cola distributor and the City of Huntington Beach, CA which was announced in this segment on NBC Nightly News. This agreement started a new kind of fund raising for cities that has come to be called "municipal marketing."
