About Valerie Speedwell

I escaped from New York to wander free in the glorious sunshine of California. I enjoy nothing more than reading a book on a sunny day. I hope you enjoy The Tiger In Your Heart. My advice in life and writing is to run away often. I hope to hear from you!

There is real poetry in this story of separation and longing. I was surprised the way that the story creates tension as we wonder whether Jenny ever meet her birth family again. That's rare in a book which deals primarily with matters of the heart. Congratulations to Valerie Speedwell on an excellent debut novella.
