About P R Glazier

I have to thank my father and an uncle by marriage on my mother’s side, both of whom are sadly no longer with us, for my lifelong love of science fiction and fantasy. From my early childhood these two persons, whilst sharing their love of the genre had inadvertently seeded the passion within me. My early introduction was based mainly around articles and stories appearing in a magazine called ‘Astounding Science Fiction’. This publication came out monthly and I waited on the edge of my seat to be read, and then to read for myself, the stories in the latest edition. Contributors like Burroughs, Asimov, Vance, Harrison, Anderson and Bradbury all featured heavily throughout my early literary experiences.
In primary school a teacher introduced me to a certain Mr. J. R. R. Tolkien and his book 'The Hobbit'. Once a week during the summer months my classmates and I would troop out to a grassy mound beneath the oak trees behind our prefab classroom and we would sit in the balmy summer warmth listening intently to the words being read to us. A spark had ignited within the recesses of my mind, the kindling was lit and my imagination was flaring up. But it was to be a long time before anything reached paper.
My own discipline in writing probably owes much to many years of writing commercial contracts for a living. Back then it had not occurred to me to write a complete story, for life was in full swing, children, a mortgage and a career took up all my efforts. But now I have more time of my own, I finally have the time to actually write for myself and find a deep enjoyment in being able to concentrate on developing these past disparate scribbles into full blown narratives and hopefully finally into published books.
I try to make my written images work in the mind-set of current culture, a parallel perhaps to our own scientific knowledge, the boundaries stretched a little to encompass imaginary developments in both known and unknown sciences and technologies, for after all we are very, very far from understanding everything about this universe in which we reside.
I like to describe things in great detail, try and open up the imagination of the reader and my hope is that whatever you read and experience within the pages of my books shall be as immersive and enjoyable as it has been for me to write them.
So thank you for reading my works if you have, it has been a pleasure writing them and there are more ideas on the way. Feedback is crucial to an author like myself, there is no way of knowing how the books rate unless I am told so. Therefore I ask that after reading each one you please leave a positive comment on the book page or alternatively if you would like to make contact with me, I would take great pleasure in hearing from you. Remember, encouragement from readers is beyond value to an indie author. You can get in touch with me at: Solin.deteinde@btinternet.com.

I enjoyed there being several main female characters in the novel which is not the case in plenty of the sci-fi I have read. The world is fully mapped out in my mind, with many contrasting environments. I found it an interesting and unique take on combining sic fi with fantasy.

An interesting mix of traditional fantasy with a science fiction edge thrown in. The telling of the tale by a somewhat peripheral character works well. The characters quickly become people (beings?) you care about and the plot moves ahead briskly and smoothly, pulling the reader headlong into this fascinating world. Great read!

This is a Great story! I can't wait for the next book. This book pulled me in and would not let go! This book is fantasy but it also makes you think about what we are doing to our world now.
