About Ella Jo Street

I wanted to write stories that I would have enjoyed reading as a child so invented Gwubbins the Witch, the Pirate Children and the Wonky Wizard! Inspired by Mary Lou Springstead's superb cover illustrations, I completed a five story project. Three of the stories have been made into audio books (so far) and contain soundtracks and music. A gallery has been set up on line for children to send in their pictures relating to the Gwubbins stories. More details about the Gwubbins project can be found on my very own Gwubbins website.

About Ella Jo
As a young woman I travelled to India, where I took meditation classes in Bodgaya and singing lessons in Varanasi. On my journeys I did many, many tarot readings and published an article called 'The Origins of Tarot' (Femspec Magazine, 2006). This was written after research undertaken in Bengal and is now published in my book 'Does Tarot Come From India?' A trip to Greece and Turkey uncovered clues for the origins and development of Tarot, written in my diary 'Journey Of A Tarot Reader'.

I have written other books that study tarot including in-depth analysis about The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress and The Emperor. If you are a publisher interested in this work, please contact me.

For many years I have been a musician and my music projects culminated in four albums : ‘Limits Of Milkweed’,‘Alter Ego’, 'Attitude is Everything' and 'Almost Anglo Saxon' these can be purchased at diamondseeds.co.uk

In 2016 I decided to write a novel and achieved this mammoth task in March 2018. Touched By A Presence is my first book for grown ups. Essentially a ghost story, it is an historic novel set in the early nineteenth century in rural England. Featuring people who really lived and authentic historical events, it took two years to write. I am currently working on the sequel.
