I would like to thank Lena Goldfinch and NTOFYAB for gifting me a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review

After reading the synopsis I immediately fell in love with premise of Aire. I love fantasy and anything that has a hint of historical fiction/mythological writing, so this being based on ancient Italy/Turkey sounded right up my alley. Aire definitely lived up to my expectations. I loved the palace life mixed with suspense and fantasy that was contained in this story. I also fell in love with the characters immediately, especially Anna and Illan. Anna was the perfect combination of headstrong and loyal, and made for an amazing heroine that didn't let anything get in the way of what she believed was right... even if it sometimes meant what was right could make her unhappy in the end. I won't go into anything further because I hate giving away spoilers. I'm not really sure what made me love Illan so much, but he was just so loyal and always jumped right into whatever situation Anna needed him to just because she needed him.

There was a good amount of romance in Aire, and Ms. Goldfinch did an amazing job of making it believable. I was completely satisfied with the way the story ended (which a lot of times I can't say to be true). Aire was very well written, and the story flowed smoothly and beautifully. I only had a few small issues.... since I don't know Italian some of the phrases confused me for the first half of the story until I got used to them... but once I did I admit the fit very nicely into the dialogue. I had a hard time using the Lexicon to help me with the Italian because it's so hard to flip back and forth to it on an e-reader (but this could just be me being picky). I enjoyed the pace of the story, and thought that it moved quickly with lots of action... but, there were a couple parts of the story that felt a little rushed where as the main issue they were battling seemed to drag on a little bit toward the end for me. I did really enjoy that the author did a great job of keeping me guessing what was going to happen, and who to trust throughout the story.

Overall I loved Aire, it was a great light Romantic read with a lot of action and some mystery.

This story is about Principessa Annalisia who is a Seer, she has visions of the future. Her grandmother is the Queen. And has arranged Marriages for her and her 2 sister to form alliances with other countries. Annalisia doesn't want to marry who her Grandmother has picked for her. But someone is out to stop the alliances at all cost. And kidnaps Annalisia only it is not Annalisia but her cloth maiden.

Annalisia forms a friendship with her cloth maidens brother and together they try to save his sister but at what cost.

This started off slow for me, but once I got into it I really enjoyed it. I did like the cover once id read the story. And I found the pace, flow and plot just right. I didn't think there was too much going on. I thought the story was well written. It is not my usual kind of story but I am glad I read it

Please note, I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest review through the group, Never Too Old For Y.A. & N.A. Books. Ultimately, I got the book for free via a Smashwords code from the author. This in no way effects my final review of this book.

I liked it well enough, but felt that there could have been a little more depth with the characters.

You mostly follow Annalisia and Jovanni. Annalisia is a princess, who is also a seer. When she touches certain objects that were of importance to someone, she sometimes is able to see what is happening to that person. Or sometimes she just has a vision on her own. After Anna leaves her betrothed at a party and insists upon going home across the water, her boat is attacked. During the attack, her maidservant, Mira, is mistaken for the princess and abducted.

Anna, who feels guilty that Mira was taken instead of her, sets out to find her friend and maidservant. During the search she ends up teaming up with Jovanni, a commoner and Mira's brother. Things get even more intense when one of Anna's sisters is abducted and a few more attempts are made to abduct Anna. It would seem that someone is trying to disrupt the proposed alliance between two kingdoms.

During the course of the search Anna and Jovanni fall in love? But they can't be together or can they? Apparently there is a legend of a princess marrying a sentinel. Which Jovanni apparently is.

I feel that the basic parts of a good story are all here, but overall, I felt like the story was lacking depth. I felt there could have been more trials for the couple during the search or more interactions. Too me it almost seemed like at some point the author just told me they were in love. I don't feel like she did a very good job of showing me through the story and developing that love. There are several brief mentions of a legend, but the legend is never really fully told. I wish the full legend was included in the book somewhere. I also felt some of the side characters, had more depth, like Anna's betrothed or even Mira or the bad guy. To be perfectly honest I almost feel like this wonderful story has been dumbed down in order to be considered a YA book, which really is a shame.

I don't regret reading the story, and overall, I liked it. I think this story might have actually been better if it was broken up into a trilogy, so more depth could have been added. I do like how the story was inspired by ancient Italy and Turkey, but even that could have been fleshed out a little more.

Aire is about Annalisia, a Princess who has a special gift. When someone kidnaps Annalisia's servant, she disguises herself as "Anna", she leaves the palace, determined to find her servant and along the way she finds romance!

I absolutely LOVED this book, I couldn't put it down! It was well written, the characters were well thought out, the Italian setting is beautiful, the pacing is perfect, and the use of Italian words throughout the novel was a nice addition, making in more real. Annalisia is a heroine, she's courageous and determined.

Aire is an entertaining, romantic, thrilling and magical fantasy! I recommend it and I can't wait to read more from this author!!

Happy Reading!

Would like to thank the author Lena Goldfinch for gifting me this book for a honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, it was different, loved the characters. We're introduced to Annalisia a 17 year old Principessa of Isalla, a magical world where there used to be Seers and Sentinels. Annalisia is a seer, but its been kept a secret. While her and her sisters are visiting another Kingdom, Annalisia finds out that she is engaged to be married to someone that she has never met and is very upset, after meeting her soon to be husband she begs her grandmother the Queen to let her go back home. Then on her way home by ship they are attacked and mistaking Mira her cloth maiden as the Principessa, Mira is abducted. Annalisia decides she must do something and she dresses as a commoner and goes out to find her, with help of her friend and Falcon boy Ilan and with Mira's brother Jovanni. Jovanni and Anna start to have feelings for each other. Jovanni doesn't know right away that Anna is a principessa. Anna knows she should'nt love Jovanni and that they could never be together.

I loved the characters, Anna is great girl, is a good friend, she would risk her life for them. I like that we got different POVs, mostly Annas and Jovannis, but we did get to know a little from the villians too. At times it did get to be a little boring waiting for something to happen. I would of wanted a little more between Anna and Jovanni, not a full on love scene or anything, but alittle more. Dont get me wrong I loved their love, but I needed more I guess, but enjoyed reading this.

A princess and a commoner.

They never should have fallen in love...but they did.

First I would like to thank Lena Goldfinch for allowing me to read her book.

I recived this book for an honest review and here it is.
At first I didn't think I was going to like this book but I was wrong. I was crying at the end of this story! The tale of a rebelious young princess and a "commoner" fighting for lives of others. This story has it all heroisim romance death betrayl love sorrow and triumph.
Princess Anna is a seer and is wanted by a man to destroy her kingdom. He will stop at nothing to have her by his side. She is nearly abducted but the maidservent was taken instead. With Illan her faithfull friend and "brother" by her side she starts off to find her maidservent Mia. Jiovanni also looking for his sister Mia stumbles across the princess. The start a quest to find the missing girl and fall in love along the way.
The characters have such depths and personalities. The story is beautifully written and I hope there is a part 2 or at least a novela to tell us if Anna and Jiovanni wed!
