About Lyneal Jenkins

Lyneal Jenkins was born in Shrewsbury, England in 1980. In 1996 she left home to become a Medic in the British Army.

After three years she resigned the forces to start a family and begin her work with learning disabilities, which is when she was diagnosed with bipolar depression.

After a failed marriage, she moved to spain for eighteen months with her children, taking time to reflect on where she wanted her life to go. Since returning to the UK, she began her studies towards becoming a Psychologist.

In february 2011 she sat down at the laptop with one sentence and a basic concept in mind, with no idea that she was embarking on the biggest project of her life. Night of the Fae quickly became a novel and it wasnt long before detailed notes for the remaining eleven books in the Ana Martin series were drafted up.

This year, Lyneal won Finalist in the Indie Excellence awards, in the Cross Genre category. She also received two Readers Favourite 5 Star Awards.

The forth volume of the Ana Martin Series is due to be released in November 2014. And her exciting new YA novel, The Seventh Realm is due to be released in February 2015.

To date, Lyneal is currently living with her partner in North Yorkshire along with their seven children. Each day is a balance between normal life, completing a Psychology degree and continuing with the Ana Martin series. She couldn't be happier.
She is looking forward to writing many more books in the fantasy/scifi genre as this is where her passion lies.

Awesome book. Really well written. Once I got into it was absolutely unable to put it down until I'd finished, just as well I had a free-ish day!
The story was so compelling that I just couldn't leave it alone.
The scope of imagination the create new creatures, which I have never actually read about before, is a feat in itself. The fact that the story is so engaging, has so many sub threads and further questions after reaching it's conclusion makes me want to scream for the next instalment!
It's rare I read a book I can't put down. Absolutely fantastic!!!!
