IF it were not for the redundant forced sex, that weird business with the heroine and the sultan, and a desperate need of a re-write - this could have been a very good book. Many sentences are stilted and repetitive, which was annoying. Should have had a good beta reader or two to help before you submitted. I have issues with the time line and question the amount of research the author did. The basic story is a good one, though I did want to quit reading when she had that 'love affair' with the sultan, which ruined the honesty of her 'love' for Jason. Bah!

I thought this book was interesting. There were parts that I didn't care for but then there were parts that I thought were great. All in all it was a touching story

Okay I am not a fan of this book. Because with this rape theme the scenes are a hot mess and make me want to burn the book. Come on if I have to read anymore about a victim being aroused at the forcing of sex I am going to scream. I know how the victims can be forced to be aroused but its not something I want to read. There was a lack of timeline I had to guess how much time had passed and no I do not like this author. Perhaps in future a awesome beta reader PR readers will do some good and practice. That time line issue could have been easily fixed. Urghh I just wanted to pull out my red pen and make notes to slam it on the authors desk.
