“Darkyn’s Mate” is basically what went on between the Darkyn and his mate from the time the deal was made between Deidre and past-Death. Everyone seems to be making deals but it’s the unspoken rules that seem to cause the most damage. I enjoyed this story as much as the previous books in this series and can't wait to read the next book. This author does not disappoint!!!

I recieved this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Taking off from the end of Gabriel's Hope, book 3 in the Rhyn Eternal series, human Deidre is now the Dark One Darkyn's mate. She discovers to her horror that he has turned her into a demon, and not just any demon, but a sex demon. Believing at first that she will eventually break free of Darkyn and be able to return to Gabriel, she discovers doors slowly closing off until she has no choice but to accept that she is the one for Darkyn and he is the one for her.

This book was shorter than others in the series, but is still a well rounded story for all that (except for the cliffhanger leaving room for book 4 which will hopefully complete the series). This book is steamier than her other YA PNR books, with a lot more sexual situations in it, as well as more language, but other than the F bomb, not too graphic. Darkyn displays a side that while not loving in the traditional sense definitely makes you swoon. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.

Gosh, I was not expecting this! I always pictured Darkyn as a horrible, mean creature and now, with this book I picture a sexier, jealous demon. He's very honest with her; something that other's don't do for Deidre. He has feelings (or as many as a demon can) and is willing to do anything for his mate... it's what I loved the most. I'm kind of disappointed Deidre had to stay with him because I wanted her to be with Gabriel but I feel she can really help the side of good as the Dark Ones mate. Love her and will be rooting for her in the next one! Can't believe you're making us wait till 2014 Lizzy! I'm excited already!

it always amazes me, when Lizzy Ford picks a character and just runs with it. the result is one of the most beautiful stories in this series. a highly recommendable read.
