About JD Nixon

I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books:

The Heller series (first book Heller - free!) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer, Tilly Chalmers, and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss, Heller. There will be seven books in total in this series.

The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties - free!) features police officer, Tess Fuller, and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. There will be five books in total in this series.

My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break???

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com

Another great Heller and Tilly book! I laughed, cried and got mad reading this book. Make sure that you start with Heller and work your way through the series to this book. JD knows how to draw you in and not let you go until the end of the book. At the end of the book she leaves you wanting more, wondering what happens next.

Another great book! Advanced Tilly's and Heller's relationship.... Did think Tilly's became more silly than usual with her stint as a sales helper but enjoyed the re-introduction of Marcus and his family....also liked the on going relations with Farrell. Love this and Tess' series...please keep it up!

Another great book! I love the relationship between Heller and Tilly. The book has several laugh out loud moments. I was a little disappointed that Tilly has yet to mature as a person. I will be pleased when JD finally allows Tilly to succeed and not cause a total disaster. Tilly is still reckless and prone to overreact, but that is some of her appeal. Overall a great read! Heller is a great character that always keeps me guessing.

I loved the book with all the humor, the twists and turns. There are new characters introduced but many of the old ones make their presence known. I laughed at many of the scenes...yes the writing is that good! What a great read!

Lots of action at the Wearhouse in this book. Tilly is still as disaster-prone as ever. And Heller is his Nordic-god self. We are introduced to a new villain, and an old one keeps the danger level high. Heller's decisions have a broad and far-reaching impact on everyone. Nothing is subtle in this book - the humor is 'laugh-out-loud' and the angst is 'OMG'. This book is the prequel to the promised follow-up...which I hope comes soon, because so many questions were left unanswered. And with Heller - we need answers!

Loved this book. I am so happy I found such a great series to read. Each book is great and this one does not disappoint. Absolutely love Tilly,'s internal struggles about her relationship to Heller. The funny parts made me laugh out loud, and my day is always better with a dose of everyone's favorite mystery man.
