This book offers forty insights into living that I have found in my journeys. Some I have learned from others, and some I seem to have realized on my own. The overall arc of this inspirational book is that optimism, with appropriate caution, is the best and most rewarding way of living. To be satisfied with our own lives and enrich the lives of others is the goal of living well, I firmly believe. More
Forty days and forty nights of rain, it is said, were followed by a glorious sunrise and a rainbow of hope. It is the like the suffering of an individual, waking up to realize new things after the rain clouds have passed.
I hope in this book with its forty insights into living well, to point to things that perhaps the reader has not considered, or that he/she has not thought of for a long time.
The goal of good living, I believe, is to enrich the lives of others and have our share of life's rewards, and the key to enrichment is meaning in its multitude of forms. While there is no single recipe for purpose and happiness for all the people that we walk with on the earth, there are some generalities that we can learn from. I offer in this book such broad ideas, that the reader may or may not use herself/himself, but which should at least give them insight into the lives of others.
I invite the reader to consider these optimistic ideas, and enjoy their contemplation.
I firmly believe in reality - I just don't know what it is. I attempt to lasso the uncertainty principle in my writing, making all clear to my fuzzy-minded readers. Yes - I am one of THOSE people. Are you?
