I really enjoyed reading this book this morning. I love short stories and this one did not disappoint. I felt very connected to Dwight as he struggled to deal with his past. The woman in the story was very eery to me and jept me wondering what she would do next. The writing was superb and I definitely will be reading more from this author. I recommend this short story.

As a "casual reader" of things I like free. AND I like this story. It's hard to find something that catches my interest and keeps me wanting to read.

My biggest complaint is that I want more. I want to know more. Is that really a bad thing though?

Read it. Enjoy it. Share it.

The Mercy Seat is an interesting thriller that makes up for its lack of surprise with suspense and great writing. Although, I wish the story had a few little twist and turns, I loved the characters and felt connected with Dwight as he went through his torture in the seat.
