About Keri Dudas

I've been writing for several years but had never considered writing a novel until I'd stumbled across NaNoWriMo and decided to take a big leap and dive right into a world of pure imagination. The dive has birthed several novels with more popping into my head everyday due to well-fed bunnies fast breeding habits :D

A troubled princess with a perilous secret, a prince who while handsome still has some maturing to do, and a mysterious quest to drive them together complete with enchanted items and an army bent on destruction. Did I mention it had Amazons?

There is a great story here with twists and turns in it and interesting events but there are certain areas of it which seem a bit confused. The timeline for instance, as well as locations of the characters at certain times. I also wish the author had paid more attention to ironing out the motivations of the characters as many of them, especially towards the end, while perhaps convenient, don’t make sense. All of these things could have been corrected with a bit more time and effort.

However, for its flaws there is a lot of potential there in this light fantasy read which, in some ways, resembles a fairy-tale, and I’ll keep reading the series because I’m interested to know what becomes of the characters. Good job!

I love fantasy fiction. Unfortunately, most of the stories in this genre could give an encyclopaedia a run for its money in terms of length (shout out to Robert Jordan). This is a nice short length fantasy fiction. To use a cricketing term, this is a pinch hitter story, a satisfying little in-between holidays read.

I give this 2.5 stars out of 5.
