K.C. At The Bat

David W. Coleman's K.C. at the Bat is a fun, new, 2,800-word rhyming poem in an entirely original setting, but inspired by the classic 19th-century American verse, Casey at the Bat. It is designed for parents to read aloud to their young children, for children to read on their own, and (eventually) for children to read aloud back to their parents. Of course, it can also be enjoyed by adults! More

About David W. Coleman

I am a writer based in the Phoenix metropolitan area, where I live with my wife, three children, and three cats. My love of sports has been a lifelong affair. I began sports writing professionally while I was still in high school. In addition to boxing, I am also a fan of football, baseball, and basketball. I am a recent (2009) graduate of Axia College of the University of Phoenix. In my spare time, I read, write, sing, play with my children, and explore the musics of Soul, Rhythm & Blues, and Funk, which were such an essential part of my foundation as a child, and have remained a passion of irreplaceable scope in my life.
