Review by: Sunny Choi on Aug. 11, 2013 :
Pam Glazier's collection of short stories explore the deep recesses of the mind. With its inventive literary techniques, Broken exemplifies the complex and sophisticated thought processes of individuals who are at a crossroads in their lives. Readers gain insight into the perspectives of diverse individuals, including a young girl who follows her mother on business trips, a female writer, a plumber, and a working professional. Broken not only asks what it means to be emotionally vulnerable and lost but also meditates on seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. At the very core of these stories, there is a sense of resilience and hope.
