About Amy Spahn

I love telling stories, particularly character-driven tales that involve swords, spaceships, or superpowers--anything that breaks away from the limits of reality.

When I'm not behind a keyboard, I enjoy cooking, practicing martial arts, and playing video games. I haven't yet found a way to combine all three of those things into one activity, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

A good reworking of the classic misfits succeed plot line. No big surprises, but was enjoyable to read.

What the others said lol. I liked it because it was easy to get into, and the story seemed pretty realistic.

I have to restrain myself, so that I do not give away any spoilers. This is a page turner for sure, I read almost the entire episode in one sitting!

The process you go through with the characters is certainly believable. The janitor, Archibald Clever ended up being my favourite character. Areva Praphasat was curiously interesting. Also, I hope that we will see more from Maureen in the future.

I like what I have read so far from Excerpt from Endurance: Episode Two, Mightier Than the Sword, I will be buying the entire episode when it is released in October.

Thank you for an interesting and exciting read!

Just finished reading Enduring Endurance for the second time. I found the characters came alive straight away from the Captain to the lowliest member of the crew. Each one had their own distinctive personality and are excelenlty created and written. The Story rolls along at a fast pace and you find your self trying to work out how each crew member will deal with each problem, My particular favorite is the First Officer Victor Ivanokoff and the teaser at the end left me wanting so much more and looking forward to October.

Just finished reading Enduring Endurance and feel like I have been on a great roller coaster ride. I love the quirky characters, the less-than-perfect ship, and the fantastic voyage and adventure that they all take together. And I like that we get to see some of the emotions and depth of Captain Thomas. It’s amazing…a novelette that has so much packed into it. Space travel (my favorite!), an alien planet, armed villains, heroism, camaraderie, and my favorite part—subtle but really charming humor. Looking forward to the next installment. I like these characters and want to enjoy them again.

Written in the best tradition of the Retief series by Keith Laumer, Enduring Endurance is fast paced, funny, and filled with memorable characters. Big Things are afoot and I anxiously await where Dispatch will send the crew next.
