About Alex Albrinck

Alex Albrinck is a lifelong Ohio resident, where he lives with his wife and three children. When he's not trying to be in three places at once with his active youngsters, he's following local professional and collegiate sports teams, or possibly unscrambling a Rubik's Cube. In lieu of sleep, he writes fiction.

His debut novel, A QUESTION OF WILL, explores themes of technological advancement, human potential (good and bad), and the love bonding a family together.

The sequels--PRESERVING HOPE, ASCENT OF THE ALIOMENTI, BIRTH OF THE ALLIANCE, and PRESERVING WILL-- follow Will Stark as he continues his epic quest to save and reunite his family against all odds, and continues exploration of advanced technology and Energy skills.

He is currently working on the next novel in the series.

I read this book awhile ago, and didn't realize it was on Smashwords. I think this is a fantastic book and the start of a wonderful series. Complex characters interact withpeople of another time, and the results are phenomenal. Can't say enough good things about this whole series.

I picked up this book on Amazon for free and as a fan of new authors I was greatly impressed by both the subject and the exciting pace of this series. I couldn't put down the first book and have just finished reading the latest installment. Yes there are some problems with the editing and some places can drag, but it is a fun read with well thought out ideas and genuine heart. I HIGHLY recommend this book and this series to anyone interested in scifi, time travel, or futuristic adventures that don't want to be bogged down with the ever present reliance on space war or alien species.
