I received this book for LOP in exchange for my honest review.

In book two we get to follow Phoenix the fire elemental as he has to learn that all of his actions have consequences. Abby an ER physician dedicated to her job, has to learn to let go of the past and to live her life again. Universe wants Phoenix to get close to Abby so that they can save more souls from the fallen angels. I love how the author can actually make you empathize with the fallen angels when they fail Lucifer and he inflicts his torturous punishments on them. I wish Cristos could've been saved from Lucifer's wrath, but in this installment we only get a brief at him and the punishment he is having to endure.

This was a fast read that kept me entranced from start to finish, definitely a series I want to follow until the very end!

After reading the authors 1st book in the series, Water's Blood, I was very interested in reading the next chapter in the Fallen Angels series! Phoenix is a temperamental yet quick witted fire elemental who has vowed to protect the humans, even though he won't allow himself to get close to them... Until he meets Abby. Abby is an ER doctor who has no problem going toe-to-toe with Phoenix, and she will stop at nothing to get to the truth! Although parts of the story didn't always "mesh" at times and the "banter" between Phoenix & Abby could be a tad childish, you can't miss the spark that flares between these two characters. The characters draw you in, the suspense keeps you intrigued, all in all it was a good read. Definitely looking forward to more from this author!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review - Lovers of Paranormal.I was so looking forward to this book that I think I may have set my sights too high. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one in the series, Water's Blood.A few things just didn't sit right for me this time. Phoenix was good and the character well written but the Fallen Angels just didn't do it for me this time. I also missed Cristos from the first book and didn't like where he ended up, surely his attempts at 'goodness' deserved better. The Fallen Angels this time seemed inconsistent and the characters weren't 'believable' the way they were in the first book. There were other parts of the story that didn't quite add up for me too. The Fallen Angels were holding Abby in chains, waiting for Phoenix to show up and when he did they tied him in ropes...really?...a Fire Elemental in ropes?Having said all this I enjoyed the book and will definitely read the next book in the series. I can't wait to read more about the other Elementals.
