About William Tyree

William Tyree’s short stories have appeared in Harvard Review, the Atlantic, North American Review, the Mississippi Review and elsewhere. Line of Succession is his debut novel.

After studying at the University of Arizona, he taught at Nothern Arizona University and Asia University in Tokyo, Japan. Between semesters, he journeyed throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia, publishing his adventures in the travel sections of English-language newspapers. After returning to the United States, he worked as a consultant to the U.S. Government for four years before leaving to work as a technology and marketing executive in the private sector. He lives with his family in Los Angeles.
