About Catherine O'Gorman

Catherine O’Gorman Barranco grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1998, where she was honored as a National Merit Finalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College (Magna Cum Laude) and a Masters of Philosophy from Oxford University, both in Economics.

Catherine taught at the Harvard Summer School, interned for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, and worked at Wal-Mart’s Corporate Headquarters before returning to San Antonio and founding Bonus Points Tutoring. She has tutored professionally since 2005.

While specializing in Economics and Mathematics, Catherine teaches a wide variety of courses and is an experienced college counselor. She is particularly adept at helping top students gain admission to the world’s most selective universities, including Harvard and the other Ivy League schools.

A committed wife and proud mother, Catherine resides in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her devoted husband, their adorable sons, and rambunctious guard dogs.
