I found this gut-wrenching. Brutally honest, the saddest part is that this didn't happen 100 years ago, it happened at the same time I was growing up and I was totally ignorant to the fact that children, like the writer existed.
Your perseverance to overcome such a beginning is indeed admirable and your ability to adapt and eventually triumph and become the man you are today is overwhelming. Well done, I know it cannot have been easy to share these experiences.

Excellent portrayal of a child struggling with memories and trying to understand. Very well written and comprehendible. Saddness though that someone so young would have to start out at a somewhat early age to struggle with extreme adversity just to survive and then overcome and excel. Writer's style put you as a reader in the middle of the story feeling emotionally compelled until the very last page. Good Read!

A very touching story seems that although his childhood was lacking with love and support from father, he adapted incredibly well. The message gained from spirit to was awsome as well , shows he was listening and in touch with inner most sensitivity. It was thoughtful and mindful of how one can grow into learning about life, with much pain and struggle but also gathering a sense of purpose throughout.I did enjoy this story very much.

I found my self walking with e child through his troubles. the words evoked memories of a time in my life, I experienced the similar events I feel an immense pride in his ability to overcome adversity at such a young age!

there are not the words within me to express the extreme harshness that some must endure to become who they are.We all walk our paths, we all have our secrets, this is too real. I am sad for the child.

Well written...must admit i could feel your heartsore, you need to put more into the gap of 30 years and this would make an awsome novel...why is it that people will not reviel the truth about there life of how they grew up, people are so ashamed and self centered...but one thing is what you learn't from this is how to never turned out to be a theif, a criminal or a total messed up had to live that life to become who you are today...well did touch my heart and not many do ..keep up the good work...looking forward to the novel youo must write, people must remember out of every bad situation something good comes out of it..we also choose our life path and i know that sounds sick as how could you choose that...but it was a path you and the universe choose to make you who you are today i said well have given me inspiration to write mine will probably take 10 days to read it xxxx
