A gay love story about the 'end of the beginning' of a relationship set in high school. Something happened over the summer which caused the fairy tale relationship to end. The narrative begins on the first day of school, with flashbacks to the previous year.

I liked the story. It moved along at a good pace with a couple of well-done plot twists. The narrative was choppy in some places, and the plot had several holes. The speed at which the story moves makes up for many of the flaws.

I’m assuming the story was translated into English as some of the words didn’t make a lot of sense in context, plus there were typos. The writing style could be explained better if it's a translation, or it could be that the author was trying to capture the narrators 'voice' - that of a high school student.

Despite the errors, the story was compelling and author built a good ‘connection’ between the reader and the main character.

This story is not for everyone as it includes references to suicide, stalking and school shootings.

I really hope this author is a teenager because it read like a pre-teen romance fantasy with so much hate and jealousy towards the main characters. If the author is a teen then I'd say the book is well written for their age just research more (especially, for example, if a character is going to be in a coma for three days - they won't unhook their IV and send them home the next day). If this is an adult then I'd tell them to stay off Instagram because I felt like I was following a teen IG page.
