Journal of A Girl I Used to Know

Journal of a Girl I Used to Know is a spiritual journey from the self to the Self. The personal writings of first time author Theresa Castino take the reader on a transformative ride from the Great Unraveling (when life falls apart) through the Great Dismantlement (when the personal house of cards collapses) and ultimately to the Great Release (when form let’s go into the peace of emptiness). About Theresa Castino

Theresa Castino is a freelance writer and web designer living in the Chicago area. Originally from San Jose, California, Theresa grew up in an Italian/Polish family and was shaped by traditional Catholic teachings. Her diverse career has taken her through community activism, film production, and finally web content development. Similarly wide-ranging, her spiritual journey has touched on Christianity, Buddhism, and Advaita Vedanta. Influences include J. krishnamurti, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Thomas Merton, and more recently Adyashanti and Benjamin Smythe.

Of course, the best teacher is life itself. Ultimately, Theresa takes the perspective of any ordinary person seeking truth and the genuine fulfillment of love. She resides in suburban Illinois with her partner of 21 years and her pets, Samson, Abby, and Frankie the toddler (well, OK, he’s a pug).
