Botched: A Tale of Taloria

Rated 4.00/5 based on 3 reviews
Flash fiction from the world of Taloria. When a hero hears of the plight of a small town in the clutches of evil nothing can stop him from riding in to save the day. But of course it helps to have your story straight.

Funny and well written. A good comedy from a brave knight trying to be a hero.

As he made his speech, I found the peoples responses too him very funny.

This was okay - a lightly humorous fantasy story about a knight with good intentions but who should probably do a bit more research into his heroic adventures.

This was a little predictable, but generally a fun read, a bit silly, sort of Prattchett or Monty Python feel about it.

Not bad at all for flash fantasy.

Free fantasy stories are few and far between here on smashwords. And as for free comedy fantasy, well, lets just say that perhaps every other blue moon (even thats a little too much) you may stumble across the odd one.

So I was glad to come across this short flash piece. A piece that delivers the laughs and also has a good solid story of a noble (though quite dim) knight on a quest to save an enslaved town, to back it up.

Really good, my only criticism being (and its a minor one at that) was that I guessed the end quite early. Don't let this put you off though, this was good stuff and I'll have to check out more of this writers work.
