To her alarm and dismay, Monica woke with more than just a nasty hang over. She woke with a soft pair of breasts mashed against her ribs, a slender arm around her waist, a face drooling against her shoulder, and the realization that she and this other woman were completely naked. The woman mumbled something and rolled over. This allowed Monica to slip out from beneath the covers, locate her clothes, get dressed and slip out. Once in the deck hallway, she glanced around and even greater sense of dread filled her. She had just left her own room. So, she could either flee to another part of the ship, or she could go back in, face the music, and wait for her new same-sex lover to wake. After all, her purse and valuables was in there. Monica actually didn’t have to wait long.
The door opened, and the other woman emerged while yawning. She looked as hastily dressed as Monica. Her long brown hair was an unkempt mess, and her eye shadow and blush were smeared. A look of bewildered confusion had spread across her face. She held her heels and her purse in her hands, and for a long moment, she just awkwardly looked at Monica. "Um," she said softly. She took a shower in her room’s cramped bathroom, and the whole time water ran through her long brown hair and over her naked body, she desperately tried to remember what happened the night before. She didn’t get much. It was the first night after the Neptune Royale left its dock in New York City for a two week singles cruise to the Bahamas, Mexico and back. She remembered going to open air bar on the aft of the ship, and she remembered the first four martinis or so. Yet, how she ended up with a woman eluded her. Her stomach growled as she toweled off and put on a tattered pair of shorts and a simple tight, black cotton top. The cruise had just started, and she didn’t plan on shamefully hiding in her room for the next two weeks.
Most of the hospitality workers smiled at her once she strolled through the halls to the elevator. Once she got to deck ten, she scanned the cafeteria, didn’t see the woman, and decided it was safe to eat breakfast. She settled on eggs with a lot of bacon – the fat and the grease alone was a great comfort when nursing a pounding head after a night of drinking. She also grabbed a cup of black coffee, and set down to eating. Her solitary and quiet dining was interrupted after two minutes.
The woman from earlier set down her tray at the same table, sat directly across from Monica, and glared …
