About Alec Peche

Alec Peche is a murder mystery crime writer. Alec is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Columbia University, and the University of Florida. She resides in northern California, but has lived in New York City, Green Bay, WI, Pasadena, CA, and Gainesville, FL.
The series is the story of Jill Quint, MD consulting forensic pathologist and her three best friends, each with unique problem-solving skills, bringing justice and solving murder mysteries around the world. When not solving mysteries, Jill operates a vineyard in California. Other characters in the books include boyfriend Nathan Conroy and pets Trixie (Jill's Dalmatian dog) and Arthur (Nathan's grey cat).
VIALS was the first book in the series, published in September 2013, and is set in Northern California and Puerto Rico. It's a story of murder by infection.
The second book, CHOCOLATE DIAMONDS is set in Belgium and the Netherlands. While on vacation, the group of friends becomes embroiled in a murder by nut allergy.
The third book in the series A BRECK DEATH was published in September of 2014. Skiing is the author's favorite winter sport and thus she had to write a murder mystery set in a skiing location.
The fourth book in the series is DEATH ON A GREEN was published in January of 2015. It's a story of murder on the golf course in Green Bay, WI.
A fifth book is my current work in progress. A TAXING DEATH will be published in the spring of 2015. It's a story of murder by electrocution.
The concepts for books six and seven have been created. Book six will be a murder mystery set in Dallas, TX, and book seven will be set somewhere in the UK - I'm leaning toward Wales at the moment.
The books do not need to be read in order.

For anyone who loves suspense and is curious about the medical profession, I found this read to be thrillingly wonderful! Forensic pathology is a career I should have considered, but for now, I'll have to settle for living vicariously through Jill Quint, MD! Can't wait to see more from this author!

The writer takes you on more twists than Lombard street in San Francisco. Its that intriguing mix of an idyllic life that entices one to think of greener pastures. Then life steps in and says all that time, blood, and sweat you put in the game need to be utilized again to protect Jill from the intrigue of the story she's thrown into. Great drama, inviting intrigue, exotic travel, and a wonderful story. Three cheers for Alec Peche and I hope to see many more books from this author. CHEERS...!!!

Fun, Fast and Furious! A California classic: This action packed crime thriller, seemingly set in Steinbeck country, is really emblematic of today's Silicon Valley where big white-collar crime meets big government, big ideas and big money. Jill seeks the simple, semi-retired, healthy life, far from the madding crowd, yet is repeatedly drawn into the city, from San Francisco to San Juan and into a myriad of life threatening situations. Luckily her keen forensically trained mind, organizational alacrity and a circle of worthy friends, including her invaluable dog, conspire to keep her safe. BRAVA !!
