A great read full of profound emotion! I have never cared about characters in a book the way I cared about the characters in this one. To tell the truth, I was skeptical about purchasing this book because I'm not necessarily a fan of fantasy. However, this is different. About 2/3 of the novel takes place in the real world: a drama of an everyday family dealing with the emotional uncertainty of cancer remission, and the return of a loved one after a long prison sentence.

The other portion of this book is a compelling storyline set in a dream world, inhabited by beautiful landscapes and characters that you will admire and root for. The dream sequences are filled with suspense and adventure.

Emotive and tender? Yes. Thrilling and suspenseful? Yes. I highly recommend this book. A great story that will give you an emotional reaction. A potent page-turner not to be missed! 5 stars!
