About Judith Lesley Marshall

Judith was born and brought up in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. She had a varied career as a modern languages lecturer, complementary therapist and library officer before setting up as a freelance creative writing coach.
She led the Winning Words project for Barnard Castle in 2012 when it was chosen as a beacon town for promoting poetry as part of the cultural Olympic programme.
Her work has been published in anthologies and magazines since the late 1990s. In 2013 a selection of poems based on her family history was published by Mudfog press under the title of 'Life Lines.' An e-Book version was published with Smashwords as ' Land of my Ancestors.'
Judith is currently working on fantasy poetry fusions and expanding the provision of creative retreats which she organises for writers and artists at venues with literary/artistic connections in North Yorkshire and County Durham.
