Alan Zatkow's new book, The Show Bible for TV Pitching, is THE book to get if you want to learn how to properly and effectively create the all-important series bible for your prospective TV series. There's been a void in the market for a comprehensive book like this and now Alan makes it easy to learn the right way to create your series bible.
The book has easy to read and understand chapters on each important section, with examples from Alan's own series bible, so this isn't a "theoretical" exercise, it's taken from an actual bible that led to a current series in development at a major network. That's proof of effectiveness and success right there.
What I found most illuminating of all is the section on what happens next, after your bible is complete; an insider's look at the current state of TV development, from all the major players needed to successfully get a series on TV to the actual money amounts being paid. If you want to break into TV, this is the most up-to-date information available.
After spending many months hunting for detailed information on crafting a series bible, both online and through a few, by now, outdated books, Alan Zatkow's The Show Bible for TV Pitching is the only serious book to get. There will be imitators but this book is the original and the best. I wouldn't be using it to create my own show bible if it weren't the case! George Perez - writer/co-creator of The Life

I highly recommend this book.
