“Love as is beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” Janie Anderson had married the love of her life. Her twin sons were living testament to this and twenty years of domestic bliss was now over and only memories of Robert remained. Robert loved the home life and Janie loved Robert. He died of cancer the previous year and her mourning was coming to an end but she still missed him. Through the extra encouragement of her sons she decided to pursue her childhood dream of seeing New York and doing it first class. Fate brings her together with Matt Lathem and love takes over. They spend two weeks getting to know each other and exploring she sights, sounds and tastes of The Big Apple while building ties they never imagined could be strung. This is a feel good romance that shuffles you through occasional tear-wiping tenderness, infuriating misunderstandings and raw sexual passion. This forms the perfect combination for readers that enjoy a little innocence and love with their sweaty bedroom antics. I must admit that I was more than a little disappointed with the cliff hanging ending as it left me high and dry; kind of like those movie serials I watched as a kid. I like completely self contained stories and not those that leave you questioning, unfulfilled and unsatisfied. My three star rating is a reflection of this.

I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to find out what happens next with Janie and Matt in First Class to Portland. I loved the interaction between the two characters. They are both mature individuals, from different backgrounds. Janie is learning to live again after the passing of her husband. Matt learns that not all women are like his ex-wives and the women he's chosen to date in the past. AJ Harmon tells a wonderful story about second chances.

***For those of you who don't like cliff hangers, be advised that this is a cliff-hanger and the story continues in "First Class to Portland".***

i really enjoyed this novel. And was desperate to read the subsequent series. But unfortunately, when i clicked on the link to First class to Portland after reading this novel, i came across the Amazon web page where i saw that the title is not available to customers from Africa. Am an african and would really love to read the rest of the series. So what do i do, please?

A lovely romance that I really enjoyed, my only complaint is I didn't realise it was only part 1
