About David Wooten

David Wooten is a chaplain in the Florida Army National Guard and selected for active duty service as a chaplain in the United States Navy. He is a veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn and served as the deputy post chaplain of Camp Buehring, Kuwait in 2010. In addition to this military duties -- which include a variety of religious functions and an extensive counseling ministry to military members and their families, he is pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and volunteers as an addiction counselor in his church's faith-based recovery program. David Wooten is married and the father of three wonderful children.
