About Constance Bannan Barnes

Constance Bannan Barnes lived on the grounds of three prisons in the state of Michigan for twenty-two years, as the daughter of prison warden. Connie lived with thieves and murderers, men and women who worked in the warden's residences.

She is a retired Special Education Consultant, married with two step-daughters and one step-granddaughter. She wrote, "Calming the Riots" for the 2006 edition of Michigan History Magazine.
