About the Author – Cathy Jeanes

Cathy was born Catherine Lynch in Orono, Ontario, the fifth of six children. She graduated from Toronto Teacher’s College in 1963, with an Elementary School Teaching certificate and in 1969, received a Solo Performer’s Diploma in Voice, from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Cathy taught elementary school in Toronto, North York and Malton, Ontario, before she began teaching private music lessons.

The Rock That Could Talk is her first children’s story. It has been waiting for the right moment to roll into view. “With all the excitement of space programs and the chance to collaborate with my cousin Jane, I think the right time has arrived,” Cathy notes.

Being a soprano in the Rich Harmony Singers at the Burlington Senior Center and a member of the Hand Bell Choir at her church, expands her musical talent and pleasure. She loves to read, write and visit with her three grandchildren; Owen, Hannah and Andrew.

Cathy’s fifth project, an anthem called God’s Promise, awaits a music arranger and publisher.
“We’re Moving Again!” is Cathy’s life-story - an on-going odyssey.

She lives with her husband Ken, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
