When I was 12, I took judo lessons. Mr. Sam Nishi
was powerful; wise. He almost broke my arm; stopping
just before 'we' knew it would crack:
"... to teach you not to fear pain." (thanks)
He taught me balance, nutrition and respect for women:
"They are smarter and stronger than us."
He told me that people without imagination are poor.
To me, my characters take me with them and they are seldom still.
Toad hops around the land, in full Toad grace, saying things like:
“I have to be my own judge because nobody else understands me!”
I received this note recently:
“Mr. Hutton, today I read 2 of your short stories - I think your mind is a work of art!
Thank you for injecting a bit of joy into my day." C. Fairbanks.
The 2nd Edition of 'Frog and Toad...' is available, you can almost hold it
at the link below :)
I'm glad you like my stories.
