Not bad. It was very un-sugarcoated (just how I like my books), but I felt the three-paragraph description of the protagonist taking a sh*t (complete with sound effects) was a bit much, and didn't add to what was supposed to be a very tense and exciting moment (MILD SPOILER: biker terrorists with a bathtub full of explosives)
Don't get me wrong, the writing itself? Really good when it wasn't dropping copious f-bombs or unnecessarily graphic descriptions of scenes (do we need to hear about semen 'flicking' about on the end of someone's member?), the writing was intelligent and flowed really well. It made the more graphic scenes seem like a strained effort to appear gritty or visceral.
I didn't actually mind that the story (which was more scenario/character based than plot based, it seemed) was a bit random. It was a nice change, and the lack of formulaic nature made it more intriguing to read.
