About Mir Foote

Mir Foote grew up in the country, in a small community called Whitehawk. There she had the woods for her playground, dirt roads for her adventures, and an entire wilderness for inspiration. She was lulled to sleep at night by the sound of drums and coyote calls. By day, she explored.

Now, the world is her playground. She spent a year of school in France and another month in Prague. She taught English for a year in South Korea. She has walked on the Great Wall of China, scaled Reichenbach Falls where Sherlock Holmes nearly met his match, and stood in the ruins of Pompeii.

Mir Foote is a world traveler, an amateur linguist, and lover of the written word. Currently, she is looking into the far reaches of the past and future, exploring new stories, and working on her next book.

Pirate Perdita and the Time Traveling Zombie Dinosaurs.....by Mir Foote. This is a book aimed at Young Adult readers but I have to say I found the book remarkably well written. For all the jumping back and forth in time and space I kept pace rather easily. I found myself visioning the descriptive scenes, the action sequences were nicely written and I absolutely love the authors writing technique. She is brilliant. You'll delight in the unique character roles, learn new words, get a lesson in zombie dinosaur behavior and a touch of evil verses good. However I wonder if the length and over powering details might be a turn off for some young readers. I found myself speed reading through several heavily worded areas. Now that may be because I am not a huge fan of fantasy but I am also not a fan of drawn-out descriptive writing. If you are looking for a detailed, action packed, fantasy adventure laden with twists and turns this could be the book for you.
