Heal Now … Heal Later … Heal at Death … Heal …
If you’re overwhelmed, it is your time to become healthy. Survive and thrive! Fire Up Your Healing! should be at the top of your reading list….will help you heal your body, soul and relationships
The true-life journey continues for Donna Hartley as she faces her past and lets the healing begin, but life-changing events alter her path. She must heal with her mother in a nursing home, her father in a courtroom probate battle, and her relationship with her brother. She recalls the words of George, her mentor, who adamantly advised her that someday she would have to release her anger and heal with her mother, father, and brother. Can she forgive the alcoholism, the violence, and the indifference?
What Donna doesn’t foresee, even after coming to terms with her family dynamics, is that her journey doesn’t end there. After receiving a surprising diagnosis, she must come to terms with the fact that she will have to overcome advanced melanoma. Can she survive so that she can raise her 6-year-old daughter? Her mentor mystically appears in the hospital to give Donna a shot of spiritual adrenaline and the courage to face down the deadly disease, and at last brings healing into her life.
“Tighten your seat belt! Tighten your seat belt!” a flight attendant shouts.
“Head between your knees…grab your ankles! Head between your knees…grab your ankles!” another attendant yells.
I’m going to die in this inferno. As I bent down to grab my ankles, I could see the flames rising above the window from the left wing of the plane. The aircraft was hurtling off the end of the runway with a load of passengers and a belly filled with explosive fuel. My body shuddered as my mind comprehended the reality that there was no way out of this burning aircraft. No! No! I have to heal with my mother, father, brother. This plane does not have the right to take my life.
My career in Los Angeles as a would-be actress is failing miserably; suicide has been my dominating thought. My only hope is that this trip will change everything as I head back to the Hawaiian Islands as a former Miss Hawaii to emcee the upcoming pageant. Change! I want change…but not a plane crash.
A flight attendant screams, “Come to the rear!” Smoke assaults my lungs, and savage flames engulf the entire rear exit of the DC-10 cabin as I fight my way to the back of the plane, colliding against bodies whose only mission is to flee before the aircraft explodes and seals them inside. Suddenly, I stare mesmerized at a wall of flames, inches from the exit door, understanding my escape is blocked. In a matter of seconds, my perceived reality shatters, when the near-death experience alters how I understand my existence. An all-encompassing calm descends upon me, with a rush of euphoria and a sensation of profound tranquility. Time ceases to be. My quest for understanding is born, and my spiritual journey ignites as I encounter a white filtered light and a perceived inner voice resonates within me. Have you spent your life:
complaining or creating?
Again the calming inner voice questions me.
Do you love yourself?
Do you have a good relationship
with your family and friends?
Are you living your goals and dreams?
If you die today, have you left this
planet a better place for being here?
