About Ann Algie

I live in Aveyron, France, with my husband Tom. We have lived here since October 2012 and have more or less created our own home out of what used to be a pigsty! It is an on-going project and probably always will be! Our aim is to live a simple, but comfortable life. There have been many challenges and there will no doubt be many more!

I am passionate about the environment and very concerned about what is happening to our planet. I frequently find myself saying "the world has gone mad." However I am optimistic that change is always possible and I believe that it is down to each person to be the change that they would like to see.

I am also concerned about the effect that modern living and expectations has on people's happiness and their ability to be creative and to fully participate in life.

I write to try and improve the planet and the lives of those who live on it.
