Fiend

Rated 4.00/5 based on 1 reviews
A kick in the teeth to the modern vampire novel! Fiend is the story of the unapologetically monstrous Tomás Martinez de Vasco, from his early nights terrorizing the Continent to his globe-spanning depredations to his centuries-long obsession with his own estranged creation, Anna — all delivered in a breathless monologue to his psychiatrist. Fast, funny and mean!

Review by: Julia DeBarrioz on Nov. 13, 2013 :
I enjoyed this book very much, it is indeed fast paced and cuttingly funny. It seems so difficult these days to find an intelligent vampire novel, and this one definitely did not disappoint. Tomas the vampire is certainly a fiend, but a fiend with heart, and his confessions as told to a psychiatrist, somewhat reminiscent of that favorite classic "Interview with a Vampire", are both witty and historically interesting.

I hope Kroger continues with the genre and I would be just as keen to read of Anna's adventures. Fiend Part II?
