Fair Dinkum

Rated 4.57/5 based on 14 reviews
This is the Book of James paraphrased as a comic book. It's radical dude!
Using a modern Australian context and slang, this powerful twenty two page comic book will challenge and perhaps offend some, and it may even change your life!
Don't be an Ozzie Ostrich and stick your head in the sand! Take a look!

Ouch! Spot on. Very critical, but also very in tune with what the original write might say to the churches of today. It brings the Epistle of James in a tangible and practical context. Great drawings, btw. With so many new artists going for more of a manga style, it's good to see some great comic style drawings.

The book of James was my favourite book of the New Testament when I was a new Christian. Reading it for the first time I realised how practical and relevant the teachings in the New Testament were for our times. Seeing it in illustrated form, just adds to my sense of conviction about the message. It's great.

It's a fairly spicy comic, with lots of lessons that should be applied by everyone. It's very direct, as the Aussies can be!

The artwork is nice, and illustrates the message well.

Great piece of literature, even though it's so small.

Brilliant idea to publish something like this - something that the world really needs to read.

Very american. Hard to believe you're in Australia. I'm across the other side of the world and even I know there's no such thing as an ozzie (and I think it's spelt Aussie) Ostrich 'cause down there you got EMUS MATE!!

What a great idea! I'm surprised someone hasn't thought of it sooner. Though the message may come through TOO clearly the way this one has been illustrated. A lot of very challenging thoughts expressed in this one very short little book.

What a corker! To make the book of James into a comic book is a wonderful idea, and very nicely carried through.

I particularly liked the illustration of the guy wanting to sell the dishes used by the poor, in order to buy CD player, and the parachute analogy - great job!

FAIR DINKUM, is what they say when something is "true" in Aussie land, and it certainly is that, and more... A very cool comic to read indeed!
