As I continue work on the great American novel, I enjoy crafting my smaller projects into short stories. Alternating my residence between Wisconsin and Illinois, I live with my husband and three (sometimes four) dogs.

Writing with heart and a nice piece; a lady cyclist finishes a long ride by coasting into New Orleans, where the city teases at her inhibitions.
The author tackles tricky subjects in a short space of words, and creates a positive viibe on the pyschological recovery from illness. Good stuff, an author to watch.

Not bad. :) I like how the journey escalates, intensity grows and something unexpected happens in the end. The main character feels alive, even in such a short story. What I take out of it: Life is not meant to be what we think it should be, it's something more.
