I love a romance novel thriller. This book has a subtle sexual aspect that is NOT erotic but for that matter is better because I can visualize from the description. This is a vacation book to enjoy both for the men and for the who dunit aspect.

At first, I thought Anastasia Amor was a good writer but my enthusiasm waned when I got tired of reading about various tongues in various body orifices with constant descriptions of electric shocks. I don't read a lot of romance novels but I just lost interest in the characters and their murky morals. I guess this story is a form of escapism except that the story is something I wanted to escape from.

I can certainly understand why this mystery was nominated for an Epic Award...suspenseful action and steamy romance with steady building tension! The plot twists and sizzles as Adie Sturm searches for a murderer among guilty suspects...each having secrets. Amor writes fast dialogue and even faster men. Adie Sturm is the kind of woman who has men spinning out of control. She's real and believable. The setting of the Carnaval in Cozumel, Mexico is exactly how I saw it. A gripping read!

I love how Amor mixes chocolate, sex and a pirate... it's hot! There's something darkly sensual and mysterious about this book. Amor knows how to write a great thriller.

Wouldn't I like to be Adie Sturm. This girl has it all going for her--two sexy rich guys catering to her, a vacation in Mexico during a festival where she gets to ride the float and a fabulous house to hide out in from the police. I like the way the author makes me feel part of it. Who wants to end up in a Mexican prison. Lots of action and suspense!

Fast paced action and steamy romance aplenty in this mystery thriller. Adie likeable heroine and believable. Of the men... choose your poison...Adie must and likes it.....
