Journey to the Emerald Skull is the first book in the Legend of Alundi Trilogy by Russell Claridge. About Russell Claridge

I have always been dyslexic and did not read my first book until I was almost 16 years old. I good measure of that should go to my secondary school extra help team they were good, though I have no doubt that I did not appreciate them when I was a student, I certainly do now. I do love reading.
Though I am what... a reformed dyslexic I still read very slow. I had noticed from a young age I loved telling stories too, though obviously I could not put pen to paper as my writing age was far below my reading age.

But now I feel confident that I can put my imagination to good use and put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard and share the stories I have conjured in the corners of my mind. I am proudly a sci fi man though I do have my limits even in that genre of television, film and book. I simply am not interested in Big Brother or any reality TV Show for that matter, or Soaps or Georgie Shaw, or whatever that crap is called. I am interested in the future, the past, and us, people, Humans. A writers guide book I purchased (The Story book by David Baboulene incase you were wondering) says that stories have a practical purpose in maintaining and advancing society. I am not saying that my work will do this but then you only have to look at the effect the Harry Potter books have had upon children and adults alike to know that it is possible, but then you are saying JK Rowling is a goddess of the author world and you would be right.
But what I am saying is that my work along with another author, 10, 20, can do this.
That is my hope, that you read my book(s) and take it with you, when you read another’s book.

An engrossing Fantasy Adventure.

Russell portrays Alundi in all his glory in this fascinating read which follows the time of Arthur and explores the life of a Knight, his abilities, power, weakness and path in great detail. Each character is brought to life and the detail elaborate which is commonly overlooked in Fantasy for us materialist folk.

As you make it past the first few chapters fascination to continue with the story will easily take hold and I highly recommend that you give it a chance. Russell makes sure that you are quickly absorbed into the story and not given the chance to look away easily.

The read is very easy going and can certainly do its job by taking you away from the real world for a few moments each day and into a time of Heroes, Evil, and Magic.

Great book. The Quest involving Galahad, Elves, Dwarves and other legendary figures is gripping.
I have finished the book looking forward to the next book. But, unfortunately it is not here yet. I hope Russell Claridge is already typing on his computer like a busy bee to finish The Legend of Alundi - Binding Paths.
