The 11:45 Call encourages readers to understand the importance of the "call" to “contend earnestly for the faith.” issued in Jude, the book just before Revelation in the Bible. Jude intended to write a treatise on salvation but under the pressing circumstances of the day, God called him to exhort his readers to step up and use their God given wisdom and discernment to “contend for the faith.” In our present age Christians find themselves under attack and mislead at an alarming rate. Many are succumbing to an assault initiated by false teachings. The current environment has prompted a wave of divisive and confusing teachings flowing side by side with truth from the Word. False teachers, as described In the book of Jude, and those who follow them are doomed. Believers are urged; for such a time as this we are exhorted to “have mercy and save others, ….hating even the garment polluted by flesh.” The call is to “study and show thyself approved a workman ....rightly dividing the Word of Truth,” share the love of Jesus, be Salt and Light to a lost and dying world.
The book of Jude is God’s last attempt to give mankind his instruction on how to be delivered from destruction and what to expect if they don’t listen. The Day of Judgment will come (Acts 2:20). Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age (Matthew 24)?”Jude amplifies the instructions of Jesus to his disciples and instructs us to beware, be ready, walk in faith and truth; lift high the cross of Christ, and testify to the work God has done in our lives.
All around us, people struggle in webs of deception and grope in darkness, waiting for the light. Hope lies but a turn away.
“The 11:45 Call” issues an urgent, simple, authentic call to fight continuously for the faith — the truth and hope of our salvation — in light of the last days before judgment and the midnight hour. “The 11:45 Call” will expire at the stroke of midnight; destination is determined by personal choice.
